L2 Studios has established a reputation for excellence in the hospitality and entertainment/leisure industries worldwide and has maintained ongoing relationships with blue-chip hotel and resort development companies and owners for over 27 years.  Services range from concept design and master planning to architecture and interior design to corporate customers which include Marriott International, Starwood, Intercontinental Hotels, Allegiant Travel Company, Westin, Wyndham, Riviera Pointe, among many others.  Current integrated resort projects include Sunseeker Resort in Port Charlotte, The Grove Resort and Spa in Orlando and Tradewinds Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida, as well as numerous projects throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

Skills & Abilities We Desire:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all types of building systems (structural, MEP, fire suppression, storm sewer, plumbing systems and fire/life safety)
  • Interpret and monitor results of lab tests and implement necessary course of action required by test results
  • Ability to review, process and coordinate the contractor’s submittals and RFI’s during the construction process
  • Apply knowledge of the effect of atmospheric conditions on building materials and components during and after construction, to include the practice of quality assurance
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable codes for project, resolve issues with inspectors and other authorities having jurisdiction, and provide permitting assistance
  • Participate in construction observation and determine compliance with construction documents
  • Use standard protocol for communication with and between team members (owners, architect/engineer, contractor staff and subcontractors)
  • Maintain current knowledge of the owner-architect agreement and any additional services agreements, and provide professional services in accordance with these documents
  • Evaluate cost-related aspects of the project, and administer change orders, proposed changes, construction change directives, substitutions, time delays and payment applications in accordance with contract and project requirements
  • Maintain a fair and balanced relationship with both the client and contractor to successfully complete the project
  • Possess organizational skills and ability to process several projects simultaneously while providing quality services to all projects

Requirements & Qualifications

  • College degree from an accredited program preferred
  • Architectural or General Contractor’s License is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction administration experience
  • Significant experience with hospitality projects in addition to other related project types
