As an architect, business owner, and past president of AIA Orlando, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing firsthand the power of advocacy through the Florida Architects Political Action Committee (FAPAC). By supporting FAPAC, we are amplifying our collective voice as architects to shape the policies that define our profession and the built environment. Our work as architects is deeply intertwined with the public good, and through FAPAC, we have a unique opportunity to tell our story to legislators, align our values with theirs, and demonstrate why design matters to everyone.
At L2 Studios, we’re passionate about hospitality design and how the shifting paradigms of people’s wants and needs through time have impacted hotel design. The future of hospitality lies in understanding its past. By exploring the history of hotels, we uncover the timeless principles that have always defined great hospitality—principles that guide us as we design for the travelers of tomorrow.
Join us on this journey through time, and let’s discover how the lessons of history can inspire innovative, forward-thinking designs that not only meet today’s needs but anticipate the desires of the future.
At L2 Studios, we’re lucky to work alongside architects who don’t just design spaces—they radiate warmth, creativity, and purpose. One of those remarkable individuals is Jadranka Knezevic, whose artistry and quiet brilliance have long inspired everyone around her.
This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating Jadranka through the eyes of someone who knows her best: her daughter and fellow architect, Lorena Knezevic, AIA (Gensler). In this heartfelt interview, Lorena reflects on the life, love, and legacy her mother has built—not just in architecture, but in the way she lives with intention and beauty. Everything Lorena shares echoes what we see in Jadranka every day at L2 Studios. She is the light, the spark, the energy, and the creative spirit we are so grateful for.
Happy Mother’s Day to Jadranka—and to all the incredible moms out there!
We’re excited to sit down with Debra Lemons, AIA, NCARB, IIDA, WELL AP, Principal and Partner at L2 Studios, for an inspiring Q&A. Debra’s career is a remarkable story of passion, perseverance, and breaking barriers in architecture and interior design. From her early days dreaming of interior design to becoming a trailblazer in a male-dominated field, she’s shaped a legacy of innovative design and mentorship.
Participating in this year's Canstruction Orlando event was an incredible experience that not only strengthened our team but also reminded us of the power of community in helping those in need. It was the culmination of months of collaboration, planning, and preparation that merged creativity and purpose in support of hunger relief. We’re proud to have been part of such a meaningful cause and to have played a role in fighting hunger in our community.
Hotels are more than just places to stay; they are temporary havens, offering comfort, rejuvenation, and a taste of a new environment. As architects and interior designers, we strive to craft these havens with a focus on aesthetics, functionality, and of course, a captivating design story. But what if that story could be even more powerful by ensuring it resonates with every guest, regardless of differences in background, disability, or other factors?
We are thrilled to unveil a significant transformation—our rebranding initiative. This decision didn't come lightly. It's the culmination of introspection, market analysis, and a profound commitment to our vision. We're excited to share the journey that led us here and the aspirations that drive us forward.
